It's a new year: 365 and links

Here's the thing about 2014 so far: it's not awesome. I had to travel for work to Dallas, and now Adam is working full-time at Americasmart for the week. And single parenting is not for the faint of heart. Quite honestly, I'm not sure we're going to make it. Pray for me. My children are bringing me again and again to the end of my quickly-fraying rope. Bless it.
So all I have for you today are these links to some things that have moved, encouraged, and/or blessed me this week. Also, some pictures from the first few days of 2014. Huzzah!
Raising World Changers and Relational Repair for "The Difficult" from Jen Hatmaker

These pictures from Chris Arnade are kind of rocking my world right now . . .

5 ways to secure your happyish ever after and Messy and Beautiful from Momastery

Have American parents got it all backwards?

Sickness like a highway

  1. Holy cowwwwwwwww. Those photos/stories/people portrayed by Arnade!!! Stunning. So glad you shared....

    1. Umm, I know right? I seriously cant stop going and looking at them.

    2. yeah. two days later and i still, literally have not been able to peel my eyes off… i blame my lack of productivity on you :) but thanks!

  2. Oh goodness, those two posts from Momastery were fantastic. Thanks for sharing! I'm a fairly new reader (found you from Flower Patch Farm Girl), and I already feel like you're a friend.

  3. I've been reading you for over a year and I still don't know what your "work" is... :( Sorry about that, maybe I haven't paid attention to the right stuff. My .02 is that at this age your biological kids are your real work, not that everything and everyone else isn't important, but when push comes to shove, they've got to get your best. Praying for you.

    1. Thanks girl for your input and encouragement . . . and for your prayers! :-) Also, dont worry, I'm like Chandler from friends, no one really knows what I do haha --

  4. I love your picture link from Chris Arnade. I never heard of him before. Thank you for sharing that.
I am sorry about your new year stress. I hope it gets better.

I LOVE hearing from you. Thank-you for reading and interacting, and being the best!
