The things I need to do but wont

The list of things I need to do just keeps getting longer and longer and longer. Jayci slept in my lap for two hours today. I was terrified to move, for fear of waking the sleeping monster angel. It was a sweet time in which I worked with one hand on my computer, tried to ignore my full bladder, and didn't get anything done that I usually do during nap time. Don't ask me why I didnt just put her in her bed, that would have been far too easy.

One of the things on my 'to do' list is blogging about Sarah's wedding and rehearsal dinner. To be honest, the pictures from the rehearsal dinner are slightly atrocious, but I still feel as though I should include them for posterity's sake. Or something like that.

The rehearsal was slightly chaotic, mostly due to an un-named child who may or may not have been running around like a banshee and jumping off the prayer-kneeling-bench-thing. The kiddos were there too (zack and sabo were ushers and sabo's younger siblings were flower-girl and ring-bearer) and they found my utter lack of control and the general level of chaos worthy of loud giggles, which only added to the sound and craziness in the cute little church.

Thankfully my sister was (as always) completely gracious and wonderful and forgave me for my plethora of unruly children. Also thankfully, we got to enjoy a delicious Italian dinner following the rehearsal. My other sister made a really sweet speech (me = not so much with the speech thing because I tend to get all sweaty and shaky and say ridiculous things when I try to speak in front of crowds).

Here are a few of the atrocious pictures I mentioned earlier. It's almost like being there, except not at all.

Sisters! Thankfully, Emma is in focus.
With my sweet Sincere. The best, most sincere (ha) ring-bearer ever!
Jayci is slightly obsessed with Samaya. And I realize this picture was terribly under-exposed and all kinds of terrible, but I love the 2 of them together so much, I couldn't resist including it.
Who me? Being a wild banshee? Never.
The boys were our photographers during practice time. Zack's a pro since he was in my photography class this summer :-)
Look how embarrassed Zack was to be in a picture with me. Or maybe the flash was too bright. Yeah, let's go with that.
This picture I like. My daddy and my baby girl - perfect.
*Ok so you know if I've blogged the rehearsal that means I'm one step closer to the actual wedding . . . get excited!

  1. I'm trying to catch up - and have been loving the pictures of your family.

Don't ever not show the awesome ones because you don't think they're technically perfect enough... you know better girlie - the one with your cutie and Samaya is wonderful!

  3. I love Lauren's comment, because really, were any of us perfect as children? Nah, I didn't think so. And we grew in wisdom .. .and in stature... and in favor with God and man. We weren't born that way... we had to grow into it. Your precious Jayci is right where she needs to be. And I can promise you that when she is older, you'll look back and think "Why did I get so crazy? She was only two!" I know this because I do that all the time. ALL the time. My pastor said something that I find myself repeating several times a day, to myself as well as to others. "You are not responsible FOR your child's actions. You are responsible TO your child for YOUR actions." Take your time. Let it sink in. It's a jewel.... :<)
Love the pics... and I can't wait to see all of the wedding ones! But once again... don't kill yourself over it. Promise?
