A Gentle Breeze . . .

Not to throw Adam under the bus or anything, but the other morning I realized he had forgotten to take out the trash/recycling AGAIN. And there's nothing that irritates me more than when I try to throw my empty diet coke cans into the garage and the bin is overflowing. To be fair, I should probably take most of the responsibility for the full bin since 75% of it may or may not be a result of my diet coke addiction.

Geez, could I take any longer to get to the point? As an aside, I am listening to "Golddigger" from Glee right now and it makes me happy, not to mention excited about fall programming (fall programming? I am a nerd).

ANYWAYS, I decided to be a good wife and take it out myself. I may or may not have still been in my pajamas, but since I typically sleep in a large t-shirt and shorts, I threw caution to the wind and lugged out the recycling bin. It was pleasantly cool outside and I was in a good mood, feeling like I was contributing to the household and grateful that I didn't have to get MY kid on the bus at this ungodly hour. After spending some time lugging trash and gathering spilled recycled goods, I headed back inside.

Just as I was approaching the doorway, a strong breeze blew. It felt particularly cool on my hindquarter region. Looking back, I realized my shorts were split all the way up the back. Those kids got a little more than they bargained for at the bus stop.

  1. I am so unbelievably super excited about GLEE. As in, I break out in song randomly during the day, and my classmates ask me how long until the GLEE premiere. So excited. SOOOOOO excited!

  2. I'm so thankful I'm not the only one this kind of stuff happens to.
What is GLEE and why am I so lame?

  4. I don't think I'm going to touch the breeze part of your post. ;) But I am a nerd who's excited about fall programming, too. Just so you know.

  9. Oh Becca, your 'crack' me up! At least your tooshie got a little fresh air! Don't you just love the smell of fall air? Not that the fall air and your tooshie have anything in common -- at all!

  13. Oh lawd. Did you bend over when you were moving the trash around? I feel sure that if you did, there was some interesting conversation on the bus. And perhaps an unmarked car driving by in the next few days trying to apprehend the "flasher"....

  15. Oy! I have NIGHTMARES about unintended nudity!

Seriously... that should have been a True Story Tuesday post... cuz you are probably one of the few brave enough to admit to it :) I'm in awe!

  16. I guess it was one of those crazy days when the sun AND THE MOON were out at the same time.

My apologies for the sentence that precedes this one.

  17. Hi Becca -

Do you mind if I link it up to this next week's True Story Tuesday? That way people will be checking out the new links and will probably head over to check out your site :)

And you have no idea how much I had to bite my tongue when Mr. Daddy was describing the game experience... there were a million other catty interjections just waiting to be made, ha ha. I was just the unclassiest person to ever be in those fancy seats... we have been blessed to have a couple of experiences recently that didn't cost anything, but we never would have done otherwise.

Funny to realize that people are pretty much the same, no matter how much their clothes cost or what seats they sit in though... I just happen to be dorkier than most in those settings :)

    Have a blessed day!

  19. Ha freaking HA : ) I bet that was a very special sight! Gary never takes out the trash. Well, I guess should say once out of four times. It isn't enough in my book. Well, maybe since he works 7 days a week and I try hard NOT to work more than 3 days a week it is ok. Ok, I just talked myself out of being mad : )

Now, if that had happened in my neighborhood the kids would have been weeping. Weeping I tell ya! : )
